MAGCCINE Consortium Meeting: Advancing Vaccine Cooling Technology

In December 2024, the MAGCCINE consortium convened for its second meeting, building upon the successful kickoff event held in October. The meeting provided an opportunity to review ongoing progress, address technical challenges, and plan the next phases of this groundbreaking project.
Discussions focused on:
- Collaboration and knowledge exchange between project partners to refine prototype-development strategies and scientific approaches;
- Planning upcoming tasks to ensure the project stays on track toward developing an innovative rotating magnetocaloric cooling system.
The MAGCCINE project aims to revolutionize vaccine cooling technology by developing a sustainable, energy-efficient solution that addresses the challenges of the vaccine cold chain.
The proposed rotating magnetocaloric effect (RMCE) technology promises to reduce energy consumption, eliminate harmful refrigerants, and ensure reliable temperature control for vaccine transportation globally.
