Evaluation and improvement of energy efficiency of household appliances

In our laboratory we are intensively engaged in testing household and professional appliances, focusing on improving the energy efficiency and energy consumption of the main components of the entire appliance.

We focus on heat and mass transfer processes, so our measures include reducing heat losses, reducing thermal bridges, recovering waste heat, enhancing heat transfer, controlling heat flows, increasing (or decreasing) condensation and evaporation rates, and simultaneously transferring heat and mass flows.

The combination of these improvements leads to a reduction in energy consumption, which in turn leads to higher energy efficiency of the equipment.

Over the years we have gained a lot of experience in the analysis of different components of household appliances such as refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer and oven.
