International Congress of Refrigeration 2019

From August 24-30, 2019, Montreal (Canada), the birthplace of the 1987 Montreal Protocol, hosted the 25th IIR International Congress of Refrigeration –ICR 2019. Covering all fields of refrigeration, ICR 2019 surpassed the success of previous congresses and was a unique opportunity for researchers and engineers from all over the world to meet, exchange and publish the results of their research.
Laboratory for refrigeration and district energy had 5 presentations and invited talk:
- Nada Petelin: Modelling and experimental evaluation of a condenser for a heat-pump tumble dryer
- Luka Lorbek: A numerical framework for the one-dimensional modelling of refrigerator components
- Katja Klinar: (Micro) Fluidic thermal switches: a review of the principles for caloric technologies
- Urban Tomc: A magnetic refrigeration prototype operating with a rare-earth-free magnetic field source
- Primož Poredoš: Virtual-prototype-based development of household refrigerator-freezer appliances
- prof. Kitanovski, invited talk: Magnetocaloric refrigeration and heat pumping: The present, tomorrow, and the future
